Wil's back at JMI, presenting his unique blend of boogie woogie, Harlem stride, and New Orleans funk. Keeping the flame alive for these long-overlooked early subgenres of jazz piano has been a life's work for Sargisson, and he relishes any chance to perform solo. A long time resident of the Gold Coast, Wil moved to Brisbane in 2019, leading to an uptick in work opportunities and no shortage of talented collaborators. 2023 saw him invited to play in Laroquebrou, France for an international boogie woogie piano festival.
