Event description

Wisdom and Wellbeing 2025 Season 2:  Truth and Presence

Truth lives in the present moment. Wisdom begins when we learn how to meet it.

This term of Mowana’s Wisdom & Wellbeing Program, we turn our focus to two powerful themes: Truth and Presence. What happens when we begin to notice our thoughts, emotions, and actions more clearly? And what truths become available when we pause long enough to really listen—both inwardly and outwardly? Over this 10 week term we will explore these questions and more through practical tools, experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Standard Season pass $130 for all 10 sessions (Single sessions available from $15 based on availability)

30th April

Truth and “The Work”

What if the thoughts causing your stress and suffering… weren’t actually true?

Join us for a practical, eye-opening session exploring The Work of Byron Katie—a simple yet powerful method of self-inquiry that helps you identify and question the thoughts that hold you back.

At the heart of this practice is one central theme: truth. Not as something abstract or external, but as something you can feel, experience, and live—once you begin to question what you believe.

7th May

Breath and Presence

In this guided breathwork session, you'll be invited to slow down, tune in, and connect with the power of your breath. As your body softens and your mind begins to quiet, you'll discover what many traditions have long known: the breath is a bridge to the present moment.

Through simple, conscious breathing, we gently return to ourselves—out of the stories in our heads and into the truth of now.

14th May

Resonance: Meeting Presence through sound

Take a pause from the noise of everyday life and step into a space of calm, clarity, and inner awareness.

In this guided sound healing session, you’ll be immersed in the calming tones of crystal and metal singing bowls—designed to support deep relaxation and help you reconnect with yourself. As the sound gently settles your nervous system, your mind becomes quieter, and you’re invited to notice what feels real and true beneath the surface.

This isn’t about escaping—it’s about arriving.
Arriving in your body. In this moment. In your own presence.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply curious, this session offers a practical and powerful way to come back to yourself.

21st May

Focussing: The Truth within

Building on Session 1 We will return to “The Work” of Byron Katie and be lead by Angela Nicholson through the practice of “Focusing to discover the truth within

28th May

The Art of What is

Step into a space where creativity becomes a doorway to inner knowing.

In this gentle, guided session, we explore the themes of truth and presence through mindful art-making. No artistic experience is needed—just a willingness to pause, breathe, and express.

As we slow down and connect with the present moment, the page becomes a mirror. With each mark, line, or splash of colour, we begin to uncover truths that lie beyond words—truths held in the body, in silence, in being.

This is not about making “art”—it’s about listening. Listening to what’s alive in you. Listening to what’s real.

4th June

In this Breath:
The Path to Presence and Truth

Building on session 2 Ana will guide  us further into the use of the breath to cultivate presence and explore what is true.

11th June

Moving into Presence

A journey of song and movement with Cass Wallis

Step into the present moment through the joyful fusion of voice and movement. In this unique session, embodiment guide Cass Wallis invites you to explore presence and truth not as distant ideals, but as sensations alive in your body and sound.

With gentle, playful dance and vocal exploration, you’ll reconnect with your innate freedom, confidence, and creativity. This is an invitation to listen deeply to your body, honour your authentic voice, and move in harmony with the truth of now.

✨ No experience needed—just a willingness to show up, breathe, and express.

18th June

The Sound of Now

When we vocalise, we breathe more fully, we listen more closely, and we land more deeply in the moment. Our voices become a bridge from thought to feeling, from distraction to connection.
Through the practice of Kirtan, we’ll sing simple mantras together in a relaxed, call-and-response style. As the rhythms build and repeat, the mind quiets, the heart opens, and we begin to settle into a deeper sense of presence—the kind that lives in the here and now.

You don’t need to be a singer. You don’t need to know the words.
Just come as you are—breathe, listen, and let your voice find its place.

25th June

Truth in Motion

In a world that moves fast, this is your invitation to slow down and return to what is real.

Join us for a gentle Tai Chi session where truth is not something you seek—it’s something you feel. Through mindful movement, breath, and stillness, we’ll explore the art of being fully present in your body, moment by moment.

As each movement flows into the next, the mind softens, the heart opens, and the body remembers what it means to be centred, clear, and true.

This is a practice of coming home—to yourself, to now.

2nd July

Breathing Truth, Feeling Presence with Narraprana

To cap of the season we will welcome back a community favorite Mal Stevens from Narraprana. This unique blend on Breath Sound and guided meditation forms a fitting finale to our Autumn Term.

A note on prices and sustainability of the program
Our commitment is to make this program accessible to all our community no matter their financial situation. However we don't want payments to be a barrier to participation in the program, if you are in financial hardship please reach out to Mowana and arrangements can be made.
We also believe strongly that our facilitators who dedicate their lives to their crafts should be fairly compensated for their services. If you can afford more than the minimum ticket price your generosity will be contributing to the ongoing sustainability of the program.
