Withiel Thomas Reserve, Epsom

Meet at the park entrance, 5 Withiel Drive, Epsom.

Join our community park ranger for a rugged nature walk through one of the last remaining patches of ancient lava rock forest on the Auckland isthmus. Discover the fascinating native plants and wildlife of this unique ecosystem and learn about the environmental challenges it faces today.

Please note: This is a short walk, but a good level of fitness and mobility is required. The track is not well-formed.
