Included With Your Ticket: The 2026 Bessie Awards

Named after Bessie Coleman, the first woman of African American and Native American descent to hold a pilot’s license, the Bessie Awards honor women and gender-diverse people of impact in travel, particularly influencers, creative entrepreneurs, marketers, and other representatives who have contributed unique voices and work to the travel industry. 

ALL WITS ticketholders automatically get a free ticket to the Bessies. Non WITS ticketholders can also purchase a separate ticket to the Bessies in order to attend.

This year's Bessie Awards will take place at 7pm on Saturday, 30 May 2026, in Chattanooga, TN. Learn more at bessieawards.org.

Add On: Beginner Bootcamp

Want to add some extra special support? Beginner Bootcamp is an extra pre-conference block of programming specifically designed for attendees who are new to digital content creation and interested in becoming a travel influencer. This is an opportunity for prospective and very beginner creators to get a head start on the exciting and informative sessions taking place at WITS. Participants will learn from experienced creators, influencers, and entrepreneurs about content development and promotion.

Beginner Bootcamp costs an additional $125 USD (+ processing fees), and will take place on the Friday of WITS, before regular sessions begin.
