Join the Physics Students' Society (PSS) and the Society for Astronomy at Melbourne University (SAMU) for an evening celebrating the incredible past, present, and future of women in astronomy and astrophysics.

Hands-On Creative Stations: Explore the intersection of art and astrophysics. Design your own planet lanterns, try your hand at custom embroidery, construct paper luminaries, and view our exhibition profiling iconic women in astronomy.
Keynote Speaker: Hear from Mel Miles – an interdisciplinary artist, student, and researcher at Swinburne University – to learn more about the history of women in Australian astronomy and discover what these pioneering figures teach us about science today.
Meet the Researchers: Meet current School of Physics research groups at Melbourne, discover the astronomical work happening right here on campus, and chat directly with researchers pushing the field forward today.
