Women's Breathwork Gathering -a trauma informed space.

IMPORTANT: Please bring a mat, blanket, water bottle, journal and pen and wear comfortable, warm clothes. Please refrain from eating anything heavy within and hour or two prior to the session. An eye mask can also be helpful to go deeper (optional).
When we breathe deeply and consciously, we connect to ourselves more. When we are more connected to ourselves, we are able to connect with others and the world around us in a beautiful and profound way. I believe that when women gather together there is this unspoken mutual respect and understanding of one another and with this comes deep healing.
I am calling in women who are looking for a space to be seen, heard and held, who are willing to be vulnerable, to connect to the body, to support and witness others in their vulnerability, to release and let go of limiting belief systems, physical tension, old stories that are no longer serving your current reality, to release and rise, to connect with other like minded women.
The session will begin with some movement and dance. We will be exploring Biodynamic Breathwork a conscious connected breathing modality based on coming into the body, exploring tension and stuck traumas in the body by using 6 main elements of breath, sound, touch, movement, emotions, and meditation.
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful tool to help us connect deeply with the body. It bridges the gap between our conscious mind and subconscious mind and our body, in other words, we let go of the mind and explore deeper into our body. As we start to connect deeper in the body, tensions may start to reveal themselves.
The tensions we store in our bodies due to the ego defences we put in place to feel safe in our infancy, they stop us from interacting with others and our environment from the place of our true authentic selves, from our hearts. This work is focused on releasing these tensions from our bodies, freeing up energy, allowing us to perceive and interact with the world authentically and from our hearts. When we release tension from the body there may be an emotional response or trigger some old memories. You are supported during this process and afterwards should you require it.

Please also note that there can be times of emotional release which may come through loud sounds, tears, loud laughter, so if you feel this may impact you throughout the workshop then a private session may be more suited to your needs at this time. (feel free to be in touch to discuss)
It is highly recommended to keep the remainder of the evening free from too much stimulating activity or commitments.
There are some contraindications to participating in this work
The breathwork is not suitable for people under the age of 16, with epilepsy, chronic heart conditions, chronic asthma and anyone pregnant in their first trimester and some mental health imbalances including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.
