Work that Reconnects Autumn Study–Action Circle: Emergent Strategy 🍂
Event description
Autumn invites us to slow down and pay attention to the patterns shaping our work. In this Study–Action Circle, we explore adrienne maree brown’s Emergent Strategy through the lens of The Work That Reconnects.
Hosted by the NENA Systems Change Hub, and supported by the School of Social Impact and the Humanitarian Changemakers Network, this is a space for people working at the frontlines of systems change—big-hearted, curious and committed to building the new economy.
We’ll dive into ideas of interdependence, adaptation, small-scale experimentation and movement building. And we’ll do it in a space that’s warm, collaborative and full of people who care.
What’s Inside
Guided exploration of key emergent strategy principles
Pattern-spotting conversations and creative group processes 🔍
Opportunities to connect with others working on systems transformation
Practical insights for weaving emergent approaches into your own projects
🗓 What to Expect from the Study-Action Circles
The Work That Reconnects (WTR) offers practical tools and reflective practices to help those working to transform our economic systems navigate complexity, build resilience, and sustain collective action. By combining deep reflection, experiential exercises, and group dialogue, WTR supports changemakers in facing ecological, social, and economic crises with clarity, courage, and connection—enhancing their ability to envision and co-create a more regenerative, equitable, and wellbeing-centred economy.
As we move through the seasons in 2026, we will:
