Event description
With parental/supervisor assistance, this dynamic interactive free-standing 3D bird sculpture will fully engage all young sculptors. Using a wire framework already attached to timber base, participants will design and construct the body, wings and beak of their unique birdlife. Black and white tissue paper will be glued onto the body. Google eyes are added at the end. Young artists will be proud to show off their fabulous masterpiece. This activity explores proportion, 3D form, lines, and shapes. **Other coloured tissue paper will be available to change this into another choice ie: king parrot, galah, cockatoo, rosella etc. All materials supplied.
Ages: **with parent/guardian assistance, 5 years to 7 years
Lunch, coffee and other refreshments will be available for purchase from the Flaxton Gardens café and restaurant.
The workshop will take place in view of the public as part of the many activities associated with Sculpture on the Edge 2023.
