WORKSHOP | Deliciously Dishy Ceramics with Claudia Lam - The Forest Mori (HK/WA)
Event description
Make your own ceramic sauce dish, inspired by illustrator and ceramic artist Claudia Lam’s picture book I Want To Be Spaghett!
Claudia is an illustrator and ceramic artist who created I Want To Be Spaghetti! with author Kiera Wright-Ruiz. I Want To Be Spaghetti! is a picture book that celebrates diversity and self love through the fun, unique ingredients of ramen such as chashu, nori and narutomaki. Learn to design your own mini ceramic sauce dish with Claudia in this 90 minute workshop. Claudia will guide you through the basics of ceramic glazing and you'll be able to decorate your own functional, food safe art piece.
Please note: dishes will be taken by Claudia at the end of the workshop to be fired in a professional kiln. A small fee is included in the ticket price to cover the cost of safely mailing this to you when completed. Please provide a mailing address when you purchase your ticket.
Recommended for ages 8+.
