WORKSHOP | Gaming By Your Own Rules with Jake Bamford (WA)

Do you have what it takes to create and design a board game to rival the likes of Uno, Monopoly or Exploding Kittens? Join local game developer Jake from Dapper Cranium Studios and discover the journey of game development, from scribbles on scrap paper, to busting out your very own flashy board game at the next party! Off-screen time is guaranteed at this creative, hands-on, hand-crafting workshop!
 
During this guided program, participants will: 
 
• Learn the basics of game design and how to use other games as models/references 
• Come up with their own themes and concepts for their games, from real-world problem solving to all kinds of fantasy 
• Develop a prototype of their very own game to take home. If you think it’s ready, we can even do a quick test! 
 
All materials are provided for you to develop your game. 

Recommended for ages 7- 14.

• Children 12 and under are welcome to explore Scribblers Festival under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Entry for ONE accompanying adult is included with each ticket.
