Event description

Join Karen and Bryden for a Sattva Yoga journey. This integrated practice grants  you access to the power you hold within yourself to master your own feeling state.

You will learn potent breathing and kriya techniques which originate from ancient Tantric and Vedantic Himalayan traditions. These techniques help you shift your energy, access deep states of stillness, become fully present, downregulate stress, upregulate your immune system and de-excite the nervous system.

Sat is truth, Va is vast. Sattva means all encompassing truth. Life will constantly guide you to live from a larger sense of truth and incorporated wisdom. Every Sattva yoga class is a chance to touch upon that wisdom within yourself. The class is as a journey within, through which you gain self-knowledge and insight that you can then integrate in your life off the mat.

Bryden McGregor is an Osteopath, Sattva Yoga teacher & breathwork facilitator. Karen Vermeersch is a Master Sattva Yoga teacher, Vedic astrologer and Bach flower therapist. Both will be fresh off the plane from India. Bryden with brand new knowledge from his masters training. Karen visiting from India after having spent the last 3 years at Sattva Yoga Academy co-teaching the 200 and 300hr teacher trainings. Take this opportunity to soak up this beautiful energy and wisdom.

The workshop will involve an intro into the the 7 aspects of a Sattva yoga practice.

  • Meditation is about finding stillness within and being present in the here and now.
  • Pranayama focusses on the breath to increase the flow of prana or life force energy in our body.
  • Kriya yoga exists of repetitive movements possibly paired with sound and generates electricity, it creates a specific response from the body. It has the power to heal us on a cellular level.
  • Mantra is chanting and has a healing, meditative effect. It also creates focus.
  • Laya comes from the Sufi tradition and consists of soft healing movements that open the heart and connects us with those qualities such as gratitude, (self)love and devotion.
  • Shiva practices bring you in contact with your masculine energy and are powerful, Shakti practices with your feminine energy and are more gentle.
  • Freedom movement is a free flow that can consist of dancing, jumping, shaking the body...

Experience more clarity,  an increased sense of lightness, happiness and freedom as a result of these techniques. A great opportunity to receive this unique teaching before their upcoming Sattva Yoga retreat in March. You are then invited to enjoy a nice cup of herbal tea at the end to integrate, share and ask any questions you might have.
