Event description
In this needle felting workshop, participants will sculpt a little gnome. During the workshop the right wools, needles and tools will be introduced for this project and future works. Different skills and techniques will be discussed so that participants have ideas to make more creations.
Gnome Workshop is a fun way to learn more needle felting skills and know how. Di will give lots of advice and guidance on how to make this 3D wool sculpture. Learn how to make this fun decoration and then once you know how you can make some for your friends and family.
Starting with a wire armature we will use Aussie core wool to shape the gnome. Then NZ corriedale wools will be layered onto the core wool to bring the gnome to life.
This 3 hour workshop will start at 1pm and finish at 4pm. All materials and tools will be provided. Participants will take home one gnome.
The cost of the workshop is $95.00 including GST. Lunch, coffee and other refreshments will be available for purchase from the Flaxton Gardens café and restaurant.
The workshop will take place in view of the public as part of the many activities associated with Sculpture on the Edge 2023.
Workshop ticket includes entry to the competition exhibition.
