Workshop: Urban Fabric with Rosi Griffin
Event description
In this workshop, artist Rosi Griffin will guide you through the process of creating a watercolour painting of an urban scene with the focus on the Australian beach shack. Rosi will demonstrate different techniques starting with a pencil drawing to applying various watercolour washes and final details. This is an excellent opportunity for people interested in painting the urban environment or thinking about producing a visual travelling diary.
You are invited to bring a few photos or sketches of places that have meaning to you - an interesting house, a particular street scene or a favourite city view.
This workshop is presented alongside the exhibition, Lost in Palm Springs.
Curated by Dr Greer Honeywill, Lost in Palm Springs is a national touring exhibition presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts in partnership with Museums & Galleries Queensland. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government’s Visions of Australia program and is supported by International Art Services.
All materials included.
