About the Film
In the heart of a close-knit village in Papua New Guinea entwined with tradition and family violence, Laka, a young father grapples with the haunting echoes of violence from his upbringing. At the edge of losing his family, Laka must confront his own violent tendencies and face the odds to create a new legacy. Could he be the catalyst for breaking the cycle of generational trauma?
“Wounded Warriors”, is a poignant exploration of one man’s journey to break the chains of intergenerational trauma, set against the backdrop of a rural village in Central Province, Papua New Guinea. The film emphasizes the power of love, communication, and traditional wisdom in overcoming adversity and forging a new legacy for the next generation.
