Waste, resource recovery, and related businesses will be provided an opportunity to engage with the Department of Environment and Science (DES) on current consultation and government priorities.

Current and recently announced activities by the State Government include:

New Regulatory Strategy Review
Draft Organic Strategy
E-Waste Action Plan
Textile Action Plan

This session will also include a presentation from the Federal Department of Environment for National Waste Policy Items.

WRIQ will also be carrying out consultation on new programs we are launching including:

Introduction to waste and resource recovery sector course
Stockpiling course (following from consultation in May / June)
Regulated waste transport course (targeted at waste generators, transporters and receivers)
