A practical and interactive workshop led by writer and psychiatrist Sumitra Singam. It acknowledges the basic fact that traumatic experiences are common, and creative work such as writing is an important method of healing. This workshop will assist participants to do this in a safe, paced way. It covers the basics of trauma neurobiology, and how to write traumatic events, real or fictional, while staying grounded within your body, as well as live writing exercises to practice these techniques.
This workshop is suitable for memoir writers, fiction writers, poets, and anyone interested in regulating from traumatic experiences.
