Writing with the Seasons With Stacey Hayes
Event description
Ages 18+
Third Saturdays (Jan 18th, Feb 15th, Mar 15th)
11 AM - 1 PM
$40 per session, or $120 for the Season
About the Class:
Join us for a soulful and seasonal writing journey. Creative and contemplative practices will encourage us to slow down as we attune to our inner and outer landscapes. Each class will include guided explorations inspired by nature writing, mindfulness, the expressive arts, and journaling. We will explore a variety of written forms such as poetry, micro essays, and pairing imagery with words. However, the focus is less on craft and more on writing for self-expression and self-care using seasonal rhythms as our guide. We will find words that soothe, celebrate, and inspire. In this compassionate space, we will cultivate writing as a practice that nourishes our spirits and deepens our kinship with the natural world. This is a three-part series, and you may register for one, two, or all three classes. No writing experience is necessary. Just bring your sense of wonder, favorite pen, and a journal or notebook. Supplemental art supplies will be provided.
