    What To Expect? 

    • Step into Serenity
      Picture yourself entering a peaceful sanctuary, where soft ambient music and gentle lighting welcome you into a space designed for relaxation.
    • Gentle Yin-Style Yoga 
      Amy will guide you through a series of yin yoga poses, allowing tension to melt away and inviting a deep sense of calm. The atmosphere is cozy, with dim lighting and an inviting space to connect with your body.
    • Prepare for Acupuncture
      Arrange your mat, blocks, pillows, and blankets into a personal comfort zone. Kate will place five acupuncture needles at key points on your body, enhancing the relaxation and grounding effects of your yoga session.
    • Yoga Nidra Meditation (30 mins)
      With acupuncture in place, Amy will lead you through a Yoga Nidra session, a calming body scan meditation. For 30 minutes, you’ll be guided into deep relaxation, allowing your mind and body to fully unwind. Snoring is encouraged!
    • A Thoughtful Goodie Bag
      Each participant will receive a carefully curated goodie bag, with an item designed to extend your relaxation and support your well-being after the retreat.
    • A Safe Space for Healing & Reconnection

    Why Yin Yoga + Acupuncture?

    Think long, deep stretches that let your muscles and mind unwind. Yin Yoga focusses on releasing tension, increasing mobility, and bringing a sense of calm that your body has been desperately searching for.

    Enter acupuncture, your new bestie in relaxation. After your yin session, our acupuncturist Kate will work her magic with fine needles that help balance your energy, calm your nervous system, and leave you feeling like you’re floating on cloud 9. Will it hurt? Nope! No need to worry. The needles used are super fine and most people barely feel a thing. (some might even fall asleep!). Plus, the benefits far outweigh any initial sensation. Think of it as a mini energy reboot—you’ll leave feeling more balanced, grounded, and deeply relaxed.

    Any acupuncture points used will be easily accessible from the knees and elbows down, the most important part being that it is a comfortable, enjoyable experience for you.

    Combining these two modalities amplifies the benefits—yin yoga creates space in your body, allowing the energy flow that acupuncture facilitates to be more effective.

    • 🛌 A cozy blanket (or two) – Perfect for that deep, post-yin snuggle as the acupuncture does its magic.
    • 💧 Your favorite water bottle – Stay hydrated in style (bonus points if it’s reusable 🌿).
    • 🧠 An open mind – You’re here for the ultimate chill vibes, so come ready to reset and recharge.
    • 👚 Comfy clothes – Think “Sunday morning at home” vibes—the more relaxed, the better.

    Amy Rose: As a holistic wellness advocate, trauma informed yoga teacher, and reiki practitioner, Amy Rose draws deeply from her personal experience of surviving corporate burnout and navigating the complexities of a PTSD diagnosis. Her journey through mental health challenges has shaped her understanding of trauma and its impact on the body, equipping her to hold safe, supportive spaces for others seeking healing.


    Kate Baillie
    : With 15 years of clinical experience, Kate has treated a wide range of conditions, from pain management and stress relief to digestive disorders and women’s health. She combines ancient techniques with modern health practices, ensuring a personalised, integrative approach to care. As the founder of Townsville Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, Kate is committed to providing professional and compassionate care in a relaxing and supportive environment.
