Yin and Chi By the Sea
Event description
This is your chance to unwind before the big wind-up as we head towards the end of the year.
Jo Halley and Monique Rocard are delighted to share their passions, bringing together over 20 years of combined teaching experience. Together, they’ll guide you through calming, grounding, and restorative practices to settle your mind, body, and emotions into a deeply relaxed state.
We’ll begin with free-flowing Qi Gong to effortlessly quieten the mind and regulate the stress response. From there, drop into stillness with a guided meditation before surrendering fully into restorative Yin Yoga.
Afterwards, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, sauna and hot tub. Leave feeling renewed, restored, and revitalised.
The event takes place at Sublime Health Club, where tranquil ocean views support an even deeper sense of calm and spaciousness.
Beginners are warmly welcome. Spaces are limited due to the intimate venue size.
Bolsters and yoga mats supplied. Please wear comfy clothes that you can move in easily, bring a blanket if you need for meditation. Please bring bathers and a towel and a water bottle too.
About Your Teachers
Jo Halley has been teaching yoga in Melbourne and on the Surf Coast for over 7 years. She is the big heart behind Wednesday Ocean Waders, a community group that has connected thousands of locals with the ocean, each other, and themselves. Jo teaches regular weekly classes and is especially passionate about the power of Yin Yoga to create profound shifts in the nervous system and support deep restoration.
Monique Rocard has been sharing Qi Gong through workshops and classes in Australia and New Zealand since 2009. Formerly known as Danielle Rowarth, she returned to New Zealand in 2021, reclaimed her birth name, and embraced a new chapter of transformation. Her teaching is deeply influenced by her passion for Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and her fascination with the vagus nerve and its role in healing. Monique is delighted to be back on the Surf Coast — and half-jokes that she hopes to misplace her passport so she can stay. Learn more at embody-now.com.
