Relax and Unwind with Liana: An Afternoon for Teachers and School Staff
Join facilitator Liana for a relaxing afternoon of breath, movement, and meditation as Term 2 comes to a close. As a former full-time teacher and current Casual Relief Teacher, Liana understands the energy that goes into working in a school environment. She has designed this session to help you unwind and transition into your holidays with ease.
**Session breakdown**
Pranayama (Breathing) practices to soothe and regulate
Somatic exercises (such as shaking or tapping) to help release tension
A guided meditation to help ease the busy mind
A gentle yoga asana practice, suitable for all levels
A final meditation and shavasana (resting moment on the mat)
This afternoon is for all staff who work with young people in any capacity, providing a space for self-care and kindness. The movement practice will be trauma-informed and invitational, with opportunities to adjust as needed. After the practice, you'll have time to chat with other educators and school staff or simply enjoy a quiet transition into your holidays.
