Event description

Yoga Nidra, also known as ‘Yogic Sleep’, is an ancient yogic practice of relaxation and healing. The aim is to calm your mind and progressively move down brainwave states where there is naturally less and less thought, ultimately coming to rest in a deep state of relaxation. I will use body-breadth awareness techniques to help you move from the thinking mind into the feeling body, which will help you to sink into a deeply relaxed state.

What we will do:
30 mins gentle, relaxing yoga to release tension from shoulders and neck and everything you are holding on to physically and mentally. You can do this sitting on a chair or on a yoga mat.
Followed by 30  mins Yoga Nidra guided meditation to encourage self-compassion and a deep state of relaxation to reduce stress and improve sleep quality. You will do this lying on your back following my verbal cues for breathing and visualisation to calm your mind and melt away tensions.

What to bring:
* Your yoga mat
* A cushion to support your back or knees if you have lower back issues, and
* A blanket as your body will start to cool down considerably.
