Event description
Following the success of the Village Workshops at Gawler, Seaford and Mt Barker and the feedback from those events, it has become clear that many Grandcarers SA clients are seeking more information about the many behavioural and emotional issues they face.
Linda White, a qualified trainer and counsellor who specialises in life mental health, wellness, trauma, and working with vulnerable people, will present the Yorketown Village Workshop.
Topics will include:
- Assisting children who have undergone trauma
- Understanding how children respond to trauma
- Why does my child struggle to learn, and how can I help?
- Mental wellness in children
- How to manage the emotional monster
- Learning how to listen
