Event description

Join tourism colleagues for a morning of networking with other young leaders from Tassie's tourism industry while enjoying a gourmet breakfast.

The Tasmanian Young Tourism Professionals Network is an initiative of TICT designed to bring together young and emerging operators and tourism professionals to network, learn from one and other, and meet some of the leaders of the industry.

It's open to everyone - we're not defining 'Young' - but really focussed on emerging tourism and hospitality managers, operators, and industry professionals at the start or early stages of their career.

We started the Network in 2019 with some great events that got a great response, and very pleased to be able to now kick-start it, with a plan to roll-out regular events through 2021.

This breakfast will be hosted by Tom Wootton, CEO of West by North-West Regional Tourism

Tom has had a whirlwind career in Tasmanian tourism, as the Marketing Manager who launched Pumphouse Point, Marketing Manager for Federal Group Tourism, and now as CEO of the West by North-West Regional Tourism.

Tom is a young and dynamic Tasmanian tourism professional who looks at the industry from all-sides, and has a unique grasp on Tasmania's tourism brand and destination attributes.

Tom will share his insights on where we're tracking as an industry, his advice on what we can all do to contribute to our industry recovery, and some learning his own career in Tassie tourism.
