Event description

YOUNG MASTERS PAINTING WORKSHOP
Session 2: Wild Animals! Hue and Colour Matching
Thursday 18th April, 1pm - 3pm
Suitable for ages 12 - 16 years
Enrollment - $45

Young artists will build on their understanding of colour mixing and its application and learn techniques to recreate the natural colours and textures found in the world around them. In addition to a range of new skills, participants will leave the workshop with paints, brushes and quality paper to continue their creative exploration and start their next masterpiece.

This session will build on the skills learnt in session one, utilising colour matching techniques and focusing on shade and hue to capture different textures such as fur in the depiction of animals. Participants will be guided in drawing and painting exercises using taxidermy animals as their subject. This session is perfect for artists looking to extend their skills or focus on creating animals or fantasy creatures!
