Your Brain Health & Happiness Matters: High Performance Habits in the Information Age

Event description

A healthy, happy brain is 35% more productive than a brain that is stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted.

In today’s digital era maintaining brain health and happiness is more important than ever, due to the significant impact of technology on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

In the context of information evolution things are moving FAST…VERY FAST and our brains must function at optimal capacity to keep up with the amount of information we now need to deal with. AI is doubling in capability every two years, and we must be aware of the potential unintended consequences within our lives professionally and personally before it’s too late.

There are new terms such as “Infobesity”, “Digital Dementia” and “Infoxication” being created which refer to the decline in cognitive ability from the extraordinary increase in the load of data we now need to manage.   It is estimated that we are now processing 74GB of data every day which is more than our ancestors would process in a lifetime, yet we are still operating with our “Human Operating System” functioning from a brain which is hundreds of years old and largely unchanged.

It is clear the speed, volume and capability of AI will continue to expand rapidly so we need to consider how we can thrive in the information age by “Being Kind to our Mind”.

In this session, presented by Naomi Oyston from Shine Executive, participants will discover:

  • How recent AI advancements are rapidly changing the information landscape
  • The impact of information overload on our mental health
  • Neuroscience of stress and overwhelm
  • Why wellbeing is your superpower in maintaining focus, clarity and creativity
  • The 4 keys to thriving:   Happiness, Health, High Performance and Habits
  • Simple strategies to take control of your own mental health and productivity
