Youth Mental Health First Aid - Chatswood Anglican - Facilitated by Anglicare
Event description
2 in 5 adolescents in Australia will experience a mental health problem in any given year. That means that every person is likely to know someone who is experiencing a mental health problem, whether that is a family member, a friend or colleague.
We need more mental health literacy and support skills in our churches and community to detect and provide early intervention to those experiencing mental health problems.
This is where Youth Mental Health First Aid training can help.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is a skills based, early-intervention training program that mobilise and empower communities by equipping people with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, connect and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.
Anyone can have a conversation that may save a life. Everyone should know how.
