About the workshop
Zines are a fun, low-pressure way to express yourself, tell your stories, and connect with others.
What will I learn?
In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you'll be introduced to the basics of zine-making, then have time to create your own using whatever medium you like—collage, writing, drawing, or all of the above.
What will I take home?
Participants are invited to showcase their finished zines at the Kickstart Arts table during the Small Press Zine Fair on Saturday 4th October at Town Hall.
Not sure what a zine is?
A zine (short for magazine or fanzine) is a small, handmade booklet used to share personal ideas, stories, or artwork in a creative, do-it-yourself format.
About the facilitator:
Jo Soszynski is an artist and qualified teacher with a studio at Kickstart Arts. She loves peanut butter…very much.
The Kickstart Arts Youth Program is supported by the Tasmanian Government, Creative Hobart and Mystate Bank.
