This project is a performance of new music for vibraphone and synthesiser, written by Anna Morley and Zoltan Fecso. The duo’s creative approach combines their interest in improvisation with a shared interest in storytelling and referencing real and imagined spaces. 

The project began in November 2023 with the duo’s first performance, which received praise and formed a cohesive musical language between them. They’ve continued to perform and have written a suite of music, due to be recorded this year. 
The music evokes a sense of wonder, curiosity and state of comfort in the unknown. By combining acoustic and electronic instruments, the duo explore how sounds interact with one another and the space around them. 

It is a small scale performance. The duo often play facing each other, creating a world of their own. The audience is invited to a calm and intimate listening experience. The duo’s use of simplicity both in a visual and sonic sense, allows more complex layers to emerge throughout the performance.

Anna Morley, a Naarm-born musician, is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. Anna crafts a unique fusion of electro-acoustic vibes with ambient nuances and minimal, centred around her principal instrument, the vibraphone. With a discography spanning five albums, most recently “Visceral” (2019) released via Hymen Records, Anna recently made the move back to her birthplace of Melbourne after almost two decades in Europe, bringing with her a swag of musical experiences and influences.http://www.annamorley.com

Zoltan Fecso is a composer and artist living in Naarm/Melbourne. Using prepared instruments, synthesisers, field recordings and electroacoustic techniques, his work aims to bring awareness to acoustic phenomena, connection to place and the many perceptual possibilities of listening. With a wide-ranging practice includes performance, installation, public artwork, composition and collaboration, he has performed and presented work in Australia and Europe.
