Focussing: The Truth within Building on Session 1 We will return to “The Work” of Byron Katie and be lead by Angela Nicholson through the practice of “Focusing" to discover the truth within Focusing is a body-oriented process of self-awareness and healing developed by American philosopher and psychologist Eugene Gendlin in the 1960s. It emerged from his research at the University of Chicago, where he discovered something remarkable: people who made lasting changes in therapy weren't necessarily those with the most insight or analysis—they were the ones who knew how to connect with a felt sense of their experience. That discovery led to the creation of Focusing: a teachable, practical method that helps you tune into the body’s quiet wisdom—noticing subtle, often wordless sensations that carry deep emotional meaning.
