Join us at the Hunter Wetlands Centre for a talk all about Microbats, Fireants and Fungi by subject matter experts.

After the talk, enjoy morning tea before going on a short guided walk of our wetlands in search of bats and fungi.

  • MICROBATS‍ - Discover the intriguing world of Microbats and how to save these miniature mammals with Anne Williams from Hunter Wildlife Rescue.
  • FIRE ANTS‍ - A representative from the Department of Primary Industries will delve into issue of fire ants and what is being done to eradicate this dangerous invasive species
  • FUNGI‍ - Carolyn Gillard of Hunter Wetlands Centre will shed light on the fascinating world of fungi
