ARC Funding Opportunities for Early Career Researchers (ECRs)
Event description
This session will provide an overview of ARC funding opportunities that are potentially suitable for ECR participation. We will look at the purposes of these schemes including their eligibility and assessment criteria, and what "success factors" are needed to be competitive for such schemes. We will also share outcome statistics and analyses from previous rounds. The session will help attendees discern which schemes, if any, are "right" for them, as part of their overall planning and funding strategy.
The session will be facilitated by Kamy Ooi and Dr Thorsten Kostulski, Research Capability and Development Managers in the UTS Research Office. We will be joined by Dr Xuan Li (ARC DECRA Fellow and Chief Investigator on an awarded ARC Discovery Project), who will reflect on her ARC journey so far, and share insights on how to navigate this funding landscape as an ECR.
