ARC Funding Opportunities for Mid-Career Researchers (MCRs)
Event description
This session will provide an overview of ARC funding opportunities that are potentially suitable for leadership or participation by mid-career researchers. We will explore the suitability and objectives of selected ARC schemes including their eligibility and assessment criteria, and what "success factors" will typically lead to success. We will also share outcome statistics and analyses from previous rounds that exemplify competitiveness.
We will also hear from guest speakers Associate Professor Bo Liu and Professor Wanning Sun about their experiences navigating ARC funding during this career stage. The session will help attendees to discern which ARC schemes, if any, are "a good fit" for their track record and research field, as part of their long-term career planning and funding strategy.
