Art Camp for Grown Ups
Make Your Own Holiday Gifts Edition!
Thursdays, 5:30-7:30pm in the Library Arts Center Studio
$15 per session
These fun evening sessions are intended to be welcoming art experiences for people of all skills and abilities to jump
in and try their hand at a new art or craft. These sessions are designed to welcome beginners alongside more
seasoned artists in a way that is totally inspiring to all. Remember that excitement of making art as a
kid? That feeling is just what these sessions are designed to recreate for adults.

Felt and Embroidery Bookmarks
with Pam LaFountain
Use basic embroidery stitches, which you will learn in class, to create a gorgeous personalized bookmark. Leave with your bookmark as well as the skills to make more at home. What a beautiful treasure of a gift to give on its own or pair with a book for holiday giving!

Handmade Watercolor Cards
with Patti Warren
Create simple watercolor paintings that you will then transform into gorgeous and unique holiday cards with further collaged layers of papers and embellishments. Leave the class fully inspired with some one of a kind watercolored cards, ready to go home and make even more!

Sustainable Spirals Basket Making - CANCELED

Bring a few plastic shopping bags to upcycle, and if you have yarn you especially like bring it too! We will
have extra plastic bags, as needed, and yarns to use if you don’t choose to bring your own. Learn to create
a small coil basket using these two simple materials and a crochet hook from the studio.

Felt and Embroidery Bird Ornaments

With basic sewing and embroidery, and step by step instructions, create a gorgeous handmade bird ornament, complete with embroidery details. Leave with your bird ornament ready for gifting, and the ability to make more at home.

Potato Stamped Block Print Dish Cloths - CANCELED

This old standby craft is as simple as they come but can be brought in any direction. Each participant will receive six flour sack dish cloths and a pile of potatoes. Carve potatoes in the studio and use fabric paint to then print your cloths with them. You can go as simple or ornate as you like, this simple craft always has great results. Leave class with six dishcloths of your own potato stamp design and the know how to make more at home.
