Event description

Every parent knows mistakes are part of learning, but for kids, they can feel anything but okay. This drawing workshop is part of our Mistake Maker Camp and especially designed for children aged 6-12 to transform moments of frustration into triumphs of growth.

In this engaging session, kids will draw from a real animals in the Makerspace from our friends at the Museam of Natural History in Guildford and learn new drawing techniques. Along the way, they'll inevitably make "mistakes"—and that's exactly where the magic happens! We'll give them practical strategies to manage those big feelings that surface when they feel like giving up. Your child will learn to turn perceived setbacks into creative solutions, adding powerful tools to their personal toolkit.

They'll leave with an impressive drawing or a A3 watercolour painting, but more importantly, a newfound confidence in their ability to persevere. This workshop isn't just about art; it's about equipping your child with the resilience to navigate life's challenges long after the paint dries.

This Mistake Maker Camp workshop is designed to help kids build resilience and confidence in a fun, creative environment. It is different from our July workshop.

Please note: This class is recommended for kids 6+.

This workshop is part of our Mistake Maker Camp on 7 - 8 October. These workshops are designed to be standalone or you can book your child into all four workshops.

If you sign your child up for both a morning and afternoon workshop on the same day, we'll supervise them during the lunch break, providing a full day of creative fun. between classes at no extra charge. Simply book both a morning and afternoon session, pack their lunch, and we'll take care of the rest!
