EDV Art Therapy Workshop - in-person (daytime)
EDV’s 6-week art therapy workshops aim to encourage connection to self, others and the world, through art activities aimed at noticing values, our connection to others and reconnecting with interests and strengths.
Each art workshop will be facilitated by a qualified art therapist and co-facilitated by an EDV lived experience staff member.
This workshop will run in-person at EDV. All art resources required for this workshop will be provided by EDV.
Our weekly activities are:
Week 1: Welcome to the group and setting the scene
Week 2: Connection to our values - art activity
Week 3: Connection to self - art activity
Week 4: Connection to others - postcard activity
Week 5: Reflections - sharing of artwork piece
Week 6: Connection with the outer world - art activity. Closing activity.
When are sessions for the workshop run?
The in-person art therapy workshop will run for six weeks from 11:00am-12:15pm.
Session 1: Monday 21 July
Session 2: Friday 1 August
Session 3: Friday 8 August
Session 4: Friday 15 August
Session 5: Friday 22 August
Session 6: Monday 25 August
Who can join this workshop?
Participants need to be 18 years of age or over, currently experiencing an eating disorder and be connected with a GP. Participants must read and acknowledge the engagement agreement when registering.
Do I have to attend all six weeks of the workshop?
We encourage you to attend all six weeks in order to build a sense of connection and community with other participants.
About our facilitator
Grace, she/her - Art Therapist
As an art therapist and practising artist, Grace is passionate about helping others use art for self-expression and self-discovery. Alongside professional training, Grace brings lived experience of recovery, which deepens their commitment to creating a safe, non-judgemental space for others. Using a strengths-based approach, Grace values empowering others, being genuine, embracing each individual's uniqueness, and building connections.
