1. About the Forum
The forum convenes policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and students across three days at Adelaide University, moving from industry practice and policy through academic research to site visits at working SAF facilities.
We are pleased to announce our partnership with ISETS, the International Society for Energy Transition Studies, in convening this program. Together the two nations chart a shared course toward net zero aviation.
Three Days
Day One, 28 October. Industry Forum. Industry practice, policy and finance, airline perspectives, technology showcases.
Day Two, 29 October. Academic Conference. Research presentations, student competition, innovation sessions, best paper awards.
Day Three, 30 October. Site Visits. Research facilities, SAF demonstrations, aviation infrastructure, innovation centres.

Registration
AUD $150 per participant.
Call for Papers
Participants are invited to contribute to three journal special issues:
Political Economy of Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Economics and Politics. Deadline 31 December 2027.
Navigating Towards 2050: The Net Zero Future of Aviation. Transport Economics and Management. Deadline 31 December 2026.
Journal of Air Transport Research Society. Details to be announced.
2. Student Scholarship Registration
Australia China Student Competition on Aviation Sustainability, Round 2.
Run by ACCSA, the Australia China Cooperation for Sustainable Aviation, and funded by the National Foundation for Australia China Relations. The competition fosters international collaboration among emerging leaders in sustainable aviation fuel and climate technologies.
Four full sponsorships are available, two for students in Australia and two for students in China, plus 10 runner up awards.

Opportunity to present original research at the conference
Eligibility
Currently enrolled at a recognised university in Australia or China, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan
Permanent resident of either country
Research aligned with sustainable aviation, energy transition, climate policy or green finance
Submission
A 2000 word academic essay or research paper in English, aligned with the conference themes.
Submission deadline: 15 September 2026.
