School’s Out for Summer

Beyond The Bell runs screen-free school holiday camps in Balmain for kids aged 5–12, designed to get children outdoors, moving, exploring and connecting with friends.

Join us at Balmain Rowing Club from 11–13 January and 18–20 January 2027 for active summer days filled with outdoor games, team challenges, harbour adventures, local exploring and plenty of fresh-air play.

Our Balmain school holiday camps make the most of Mort Bay, Birchgrove, Sydney Harbour and Dawn Fraser Baths. Depending on the day and conditions, kids might be fishing, sailing, swimming, tackling Beyond The Bell Bingo, heading out on a scavenger hunt or joining team games in the park.

Each day combines structured activities with free play, problem-solving, movement and time with friends.

Kids are supported by qualified educators, with small groups, strong staff ratios and a focus on confidence, independence, inclusion and teamwork.

Beyond The Bell Balmain is more than holiday care. It’s an active, screen-free summer school holiday program where kids can get outside, try new things, make friends and enjoy some of the best outdoor spaces in Sydney’s Inner West.

What a day can look like

8:00–9:00am | Arrival & Warm-Up Check-in, meet the group and get moving with games to start the day.

9:00–10:30am | Morning Challenge Team-based games, strategy challenges and high-energy outdoor play.

10:30–11:00am | Morning Tea (BYO snacks & water)

11:00am–12:30pm | Outdoor Exploration Park-based activities, movement challenges and guided games around Mort Bay and nearby parks.

12:30–1:15pm | Lunch & Reset (BYO packed lunch)

1:15–2:45pm | Afternoon Session Skill-based games, creative challenges and team activities.

2:45–3:00pm | Wind-Down Continued outdoor games — trivia, park soccer, park cricket and other low-key challenges to close out the day.

3:30–4:30pm | Pick-Up Unless booked for Extended Care until 6:00pm.
