Beyond the Bell GIRLS DAY OUT Holiday Camp January 2027

Join us at Balmain Scout Hall for our Girls Day Out, a full-day Sydney school holiday adventure designed for girls who want to get out, explore, spend time with friends and do something a little different.

Starting from Balmain, we’ll head out by ferry for a day built around harbour adventures, swimming, picnics, local exploring and plenty of time outdoors.

Depending on the day, weather and what’s happening around Sydney, we might head to Camp Cove, Watsons Bay, Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden, Manly, Barangaroo or another great harbourside spot.

The day is social, active and screen-free, with more independence and a slightly more relaxed pace than a standard camp day.

Our main meeting point is Balmain Scout Hall, with drop-off and pick-up based there and Balmain Wharf as our usual departure point for the day.

We also welcome families from other parts of Sydney and, where ferry routes and timing allow, can coordinate pick-ups from wharves such as Neutral Bay, Rose Bay, Greenwich Point and Longueville Wharf.

Kids are supported by qualified educators, with small groups, strong staff ratios and a focus on confidence, friendships, independence and connection.

Expect ferries, harbour views, swimming, walking, exploring and a proper day out with friends.

Suitable for girls aged 7–13 years.

Please note

Each child must bring their own topped-up Opal card for ferry travel.

Girls should also bring their own spending money if they would like to purchase Yo-Chi or another snack during the day.
