Itinerary:
Day 1: Pickups will commence by 08:00. Port Bus supplied morning tea is around 10:00 @ Nabiac. Take a wander before we depart around 11:40 for Hillview Herb Farm. Be inspired by their delicious taste test and morning tea. Stopping at Gloucester Historical Society, see the now arranged and augmented with displays and photos of artifacts from the local timber, dairy and agriculture industries etc. Checking into Gloucester Country Lodge around 16:40. Bring your cossies as they have an inground saltwater swimming pool! Settle in for the next couple of nights. Dinner tonight will be in the Lodge restaurant @ 18:00.
Day 2: After breakfast, we will depart around 09:30 to arrive at the Mountain Maid Gold Mine by 09:30. We step back in time and uncover the hidden treasures of Mountain Maid gold mine. Now you have worked up an appetite we head to Faulls Ridge Winery. Faulls Ridge is a family vineyard overlooking the green paddocks and rolling hills of Gloucester. Full and relaxed we will call into Avon Valley Meats where you will MEAT the specialists and Gloucester Garden & Pets that have a wide range of indoor & outdoor plants, pots, garden statues + more on our way back to the lodge. Dinner is again tonight in the Lodge Restaurant. Dusty’s Telescope Views of the Night Sky will be set around 19:30. See stars, beautiful gas Nebula, planets, moons, galaxies, and maybe even a shooting star!
Day 3: After breakfast, it is time to pack up and depart Gloucester. Our guided walk/tour of the town and Dungog Museum commences at 09:30. Volunteers promote and make available local history and displays. A visit to Country Elegance Gardens & Gifts before we head off to Chichester Dam for our Picnic Lunch. Constructed between 1915 and 1926, the dam was the first dedicated drinking water storage system to the Low Hunter. Comfort stop in Coolongolook before arriving at Ikew Visitor Information Centre to commence drop-offs.
