BDEF AGM and End of Year Celebration - December 2025
Event description
Our AGM and end of year celebration is being held in East Bristol at our home location of Easton Community Centre.
What we are doing
The AGM will form part of our ‘End of Year Celebration’ of our first year as a CIO as voted on by our members last year. This has marked a new phase of BDEF with a new trustee board and staff team and a reinvigorated purpose as an organisation.
This will be an opportunity to:
Hear about our progress over the past year, including our brand refresh and the outcome of our theory of change
Learn about our future plans for 2026
Celebrate our first year officially as a CIO
Connect with us as an organisation, connect with each other as a community and connect with allies of the work towards Disability Equality in Bristol
Have your voice heard, and hear other voices, as a valued part of our community
Ask the questions to BDEF that you want to know about
We already have some agenda items from previous meetings such as the publishing of an open letter from Disabled people in Bristol to employers on how to work more inclusively and accessibly.
This session is open for everyone, BDEF members and those who are not currently members. We would love to have as many people at this session as possible to make sure that what we are doing as an organisation, reflects what our community wants us to be doing. This is a space for connection and collaboration and to be part of shaping the future of our community.
This is our last session of the year and it is the last step for the year in holding our sessions across all parts of Bristol, after our start in South Bristol in March to our June forum in North Bristol and our September forum in West Bristol.
Who can be involved
This meeting is open to all our Disabled people community and allies who are interested in hearing about our work!
BDEF (Bristol Disability Equality Forum) CIO* members will be able to vote in the AGM segment however this is an opportunity to bring everyone together, so even if you can't vote we would still love to have you there!
If you aren’t yet a member but would like to get involved, join us as a member here. Regardless would love to see you in December at Easton Community Centre.
