Black Cockatoo Forest Planting Event
Description
Want to make a difference to Black Cockatoo habitat while connecting to Country and your local community? Then come join members of the Black Cockatoo Forest project* and the Vincent community this Saturday morning 10th October for some infill planting of Black Cockatoo friendly local native plants around Royal Park (formerly Mick Michael Reserve). You might also see the Black Cockatoos in the existing Tuart trees.
Location: Royal Park, Cnr Charles and Vincent Streets, West Perth
The general program will be:
8.15-8.30am Registration
8.30 – 8.45am - Briefing and training
8.45am - 11am – Planting**
11-11.30am – Coffee, cake and social
Bring:
Sunsmart clothing (or rainjacket)
Gloves (optional)
Trowel (optional)
Cup
Water bottle
Parking is available at and around Royal Park or you can walk or ride your bike there.
Notes:
*The Black Cockatoo Forest project includes Transition Town Vincent (TTV), Claise Brook Catchment Group and Rotary.
**Includes watering, mulching and cleanup.
