Board recruitment workshop
Event description
This is another essential workshop for busy leaders running charities and social enterprises in the East of England.
Getting the right board and what that even means is one of the conversations I have most with leaders. Fraught with mutual frustration, busy people wanting busy people to take on usually volunteering roles requires some thought.
This workshop will provide a space to consider the role of a board, what it should be doing, what effective boards look like and how to go about getting one.
As with all Hasler-White Inclusive Facilitation workshops, I will be using Pinpoint Facilitation to include everyone in the room, to provide an accountable space for peers to feel at ease and share with each other whilst bringing my own experience of developing and overseeing a board as well as being a trustee myself.
You'll leave with:
Improved confidence in understanding the role of a board
Improved knowledge about what boards should do
Improved understanding of the skills you need on your board
Improved understanding of what effective board recruitment should look like
Improved knowledge of where to go an recruit for board members
And if you attend both October workshops, you'll get a free board recruitment good practice checklist.
