Getting the best from your board workshop
Event description
This is another essential workshop for busy leaders running charities and social enterprises in the East of England.
You've worked hard to recruit people to your board and now you need them to provide you, your team and your organisation with the right level of support to achieve your mission. It takes planning to agree when you meet, the reporting and decision-making mechanisms, who supports who and how to hold each other accountable as well as keep people motivated.
This workshop will provide a space to consider all of this alongside building a trusting and supportive relationship.
As with all Hasler-White Inclusive Facilitation workshops, I will be using Pinpoint Facilitation to include everyone in the room, to provide an accountable space for peers to feel at ease and share with each other whilst bringing my own experience of developing and overseeing a board as well as being a trustee myself.
You'll leave with:
Improved understanding of the difference a board should make to an organisation
Improved understanding of how to tap into the motivation of your board
A blueprint for how to involve your board at the right level for your organisation
Fresh ideas for how the annual board cycle should run and how to hold each other accountable
A new understanding of how to build a relationship of trust with your board
And if you attend both October workshops, you'll get a free board recruitment good practice checklist.
