ABOUT THE BOOK
When Lexie joins the schools Stargazing Club, she’s surprised to discover they won’t be doing any actual stargazing—but what can you expect, when the club meets during the school day? With Space Day coming up, Lexie has the answer. With Grandad’s help, she invents The Stellascope, which allows you to see the stars, even while it’s still daylight outside. On the big day, Jamie’s uncle—popstar Oscar Buzz—has everyone’s attention, and, because of his enormous popularity, their livestream is being viewed by millions around the world. Then Lexie sees a shadow from the corner of her eye … The sky gets increasingly gloomy and dim, and Lexie knows straight away that this is no ordinary event. The infamous Gizmo Lightfinger has escaped police custody, taken control of The Stellascope, and is misusing her device to send the world into darkness. It’s bad enough that her reputation is at stake—no-one wants to be known as the inventor of the device that stole the sun—it’s far more important that Lexie stop Gizmo Lightfinger, before he relegates the world to a night that lasts forever! Thankfully, there’s an important truth that Lexie has learned from Grandad—every problem has a solution, you just have to find it!
