Bunche Beach Exploration Trip
Event description
Join the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) and Sanibel Sea School on Thursday, Feb. 27, for a morning exploring Bunche Beach Preserve in Fort Myers! We will meet at Bunche beach at 8 a.m. and guide you through this fascinating tidal habitat, introducing the many wildlife species that use Bunche Beach to forage, nest, and carry out their life cycles.
The trip will last for about two hours. We have a 20 person maximum to ensure the best experience for participants.
Be sure to bring water, sun protection, insect repellent, and wear shoes that can get wet. The bugs can be bad in the parking area and along the beach but typically are not as bad out on the flats.
Bunche Beach is located at 18201 John Morris Rd. Fort Myers, FL 33908. Parking is $2 an hour, or free if you have a Lee County parking sticker. More information about the park and how to pay can be found here: https://www.leegov.com/parks/beaches/bunche
