Candle Upcycle Workshop with CandleXchange

Workshop Overview

Join CandleXchange for a hands-on, purpose-led candle-making experience that combines creativity, sustainability, and social impact.

In this 45-minute workshop, participants will:

• Discover why most candle containers aren't recyclable and the environmental cost of candle waste.

• Learn about CandleXchange’s circular model, including our Return & Swap service and the UpCandle program, which transforms donated containers (from any brand) into new candles for local charities such as Relove.

• Understand how conscious material choices and circular thinking can reduce waste and create social value.

• Create an upcycled candle for donation – choose a natural fragrance, place the wick, and pour your own soy wax candle, which will be gifted to someone in need.

• Optionally, register to make a second candle to take home for yourself.

• This workshop is a meaningful way to connect, create, and contribute to a more sustainable and compassionate community. Suitable for ages 12+.

Additional Offer

• Interested in making a second candle to keep? Pay $30 on the day for an upcycled candle (approx. 400g candle).

• Candles will be ready for collection 3 hours after pouring to allow time to set.
