Central Coast Creative Catch-Up
Event description
Are you a Central Coast local raising a child with disability, developmental delay, or autism?
Join us for a creative catch up in Gosford. This free event offers a chance to connect with other local parents and carers while enjoying a hands-on mosaic workshop with local artist Lisa Frost.
About the Catch-Up
In this two-hour session, you'll mosaic your own bee bath using glass tiles, ceramic bees, pebbles, and stones, which will be provided.
This session is part of our fortnightly catch-ups for parents on the Central Coast, offering a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community with others who truly understand the journey of raising children with disability, delay, or autism.
What to expect:
- Create your own mosaic bird bath in our guided session
- No experience needed—beginners are welcome!
- Take your creation home, with instructions to complete the final steps once it's dry.
- Meet other local parents and carers in a supportive space and judgement free zone
Please wear older clothes, as gluing can be a bit messy. Also, please bring a towel so you can safely wrap your bee baths for transporting home.
Spaces are strictly limited, and registrations are essential.
You are welcome to bring their children, but please note that child minding will not be provided by Belongside Families. While the event will take place in an enclosed space, parents and carers will still be responsible for their children’s supervision and safety during the gathering.
This group is facilitated by Kristy:
Kristy is the proud parent of Dash, an inquisitive, gentle-hearted, and wonderfully funny 9-year-old. Dash is Autistic, has ADHD, and global developmental delay. Kristy likes to say that Dash "got it from his Mama," as she identifies as AuDHD herself. A passionate advocate for her family, Kristy thrives as a parent peer facilitator, dedicated to sharing her insights, celebrating neurodivergent joy, and connecting with other families on a similar journey.
Belongside Families (formerly known as Kindred) is an independent not-for-profit organisation providing free support for families raising children with disability, delay, or autism.
