Event description

Participants of PSC Climate Cafe Facilitator Training are invited to continue the learning journey in 2024 in Climate Cafe Intervision, a series of peer-to-peer support sessions for those facilitating, or working towards facilitating climate cafes in their own community. 

During 2023, we have had many vibrant and helpful conversations with Climate Cafe facilitators and this is an opportunity to continue those conversations with those who wish to gather in 2024 for facilitated peer-to-peer support.


Topics that may be discussed:

  • Facilitation of Climate Cafes in disaster-affected communities.
  • Intergenerational conversations
  • Framework of the Climate Cafe Model and Best Practice
  • Finding a co-facilitator
  • Managing Grief in a Climate Cafe
  • Personal preparedness to facilitate a Climate Cafe

All sessions are Monday nights, 6pm - 7pm (ADST/AEST - Melbourne/Sydney timezone)

    Our "early-bird" offer on registering for the entire series has now closed. 

    Tickets are available for remaining single sessions at the single session price of $50 per session (or an optional $75 "Support PSC" ticket) 

    We welcome those who have done our Climate Cafe Facilitator Training, to book into a single session (while there are places available) and join us. Capacity in this Intervision group is almost full.  

    All income from this Intervision series, and all our programs, goes towards the operational functions of PSC, an Australian NFP and registered charity. Please get in touch with Beth if financial circumstances would be a barrier to participating. 

    PSC Membership requirement 

    Note: in order to access the resources that will be part of this series of peer-to-peer support sessions, you will need to be a PSC member & join our Community Hub. 

    If you are not a PSC member - Become a PSC member. If the cost of annual membership is out of your reach at the moment, please email us to discuss. 

    If you are already a member of PSC but have not yet joined the Community Hub, email us for a special member link to join our new Community Hub with your current membership. 

    As with events, PSC membership fees go directly back into the cost of operations for PSC to continue running our programs. 

    Intervision Facilitators

    Dr Sally Gillespie

    Sally is a writer, facilitator, lecturer and public speaker with a background in depth psychology and ecopsychology. Her book, Climate Crisis and Consciousness: Reimagining our world and ourselves (Routledge 2020), explores the psychological experience of engaging with climate change and related ecological concerns. Sally has been speaking and facilitating workshops in this area since 2010.

    Christie Wilson 

    Christie is a psychotherapist (MGT), climate activist, and facilitator working therapeutically with people at the front line of the climate emergency. She offers individual therapy (somatic and trauma-informed) and develops and facilitates workshops to explore the cultural and psychological experience of engaging with climate change and related ecological issues. Christie is a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, Psychology for a Safe Climate, Climate Psychology Alliance, Climate Wellbeing Network, and Fellow of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

    Single session buyers: where possible, a credit will be offered 9-session package buyers: A credit may be offered if you will miss 5 or more sessions in the package.
