    Dive into the wonderful world of fish! 

    Join our "fishy fun workshop"! Discover the secrets of our underwater friends and learn about "over-fishing oopsies" and how we can help!

    Become a fisher extraordinaire in our fun ''Reel It In'' activity and discover how some of our fishy friends are being overfished. Learn to be a "Sustainable Seafood Superhero" and enjoy yummy fish responsibly. 

    Have questions?  Join our activity and find fin-tastic solutions with curious kids and adults...like you and make a wave of change for a fish-filled future!

    Conditions of booking

    • Suitable for children 5 years and above 
    • All children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult guardian
    • Parents/ adult guardians accompanying children must pay for the activity.

    The Sustainable Seafood Guide is Australia’s first entirely independent consumer source of reference; it offers a holistic approach to assessing the environmental impact of Australian fisheries and aquaculture operations.

    The GoodFish Restaurant Guide provides diners with a list of venues around the country who have committed to removing unsustainable seafood from their menus. When you dine in these restaurants, you can be certain of their seafood choices through their support of our restaurant program.

    Photographs, videos and voice recordings

    Randwick City Council staff may on occasion take recordings of participants during activities (including photographs, videos and voice recordings) that could be used for the following purposes:

    • educational or community information purpose
    • Council displays and promotions of community education events
    • to complement the promotion of Randwick's Marine and Coastal Program.

    If you DO NOT wish for the participant’s recording to be used according to these conditions, please indicate this during the booking process.

    Cancellation conditions

    This activity may be cancelled due to insufficient bookings or poor weather. Participants will be advised in the event the activity changes or cancellation occurs. All care has been made in the preparation of the January 2024 Marine and Coastal Discovery Program, but some changes may occur due to circumstances beyond the control of Randwick City Council. Refunds will be provided for cancellation up to 1 day prior to the event and in the event of cancellation by Council.
