School Holidays Beginner Sewing Class for Kids and Teens

Our popular Kids Beginner School Holidays Sewing Classes is back again for the October 2024 school holidays, and it's reduced to $100, thanks to a grant from City Of Newcastle!

Over 3 days, we will teach your kids and teens everything they need to kick start their basic sewing machine skills. Aimed at 9+ year olds, we offer project based teaching, with students completing a pencil/pen wrap and simple backpack with drawstrings and straps.

DETAILS:

• Classes are held over 3 days, Tuesday 1st October, Wednesday 2nd October, Wednesday 3rd October, 2024, 10am till 12.30pm each day. 
• All materials, patterns and use of equipment is included in the cost*.
• Students are most welcome to bring and learn to use their own sewing machine, or use one of ours.

Please Note: This beginners sewing workshop is created using circular economy principles. This means, we will be using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items for our sewing workshops. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
